Northside Orthodontics offers complimentary consultations. There is neither a fee nor an obligation for this initial appointment. At the consultation your doctor will conduct an examination to determine if braces can help. The things the doctor will be evaluating at this appointment include:

  • What your main concerns are
  • The alignment of your teeth
  • The cosmetic appearance of your smile
  • Overall facial harmony
  • How your bite comes together
  • How your jaws are aligned
  • How your teeth function during chewing movements
  • The health of your gums

If braces are indicated your doctor will discuss with you:

  • Possible courses of therapy
  • Estimated length of treatment
  • Estimated cost of treatment
  • The answers to any other questions or concerns that you may have

After the consultation appointment, if braces sound like something that you are interested in, we would like to make measurements of your teeth and jaws. This can often be done on the same day as your consultation. To make these measurements we take a series of x-rays, photographs, and mouth molds. These diagnostic records will give the doctor all of the information that he needs to develop a detailed treatment plan specifically designed to give you an optimal bite and smile.

At the consultation appointment we will ask you to fill out two forms so that the doctor can best understand your overall concerns and health history.
